Brazilian Micro Bikinis – Can Brazilian Swimsuits Be Worn in Public?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alex_London]Alex London

When the first bikini was introduced into the United States as a fashion item, many clothing designers refused to believe that it would ever become a trend, or for that matter, be in demand. For over ten years, American designers thought that the average female citizen wouldn’t wear a bikini, due to ethical and decent-minded attitudes. However, by 1957, thanks mainly to European influences and Hollywood movies, the bikini was accepted into our mainstream way of thinking about fashions and clothing trends.

As trends have a tendency to do, the bikini trend escalated in 1960 when a songwriter named Brian Hyland crafted his Yellow Polka Dot Bikini song, which soon became a hit. Since that time, the bikini has become commonplace among swimwear designers and those who still buy the bikinis.

Recently, however, a new style of bikini has emerged that has gained worldwide attention-the Brazilian micro bikini. It also started as a new way for women to sunbathe, which allowed them to wear as little as possible in order to get the best tan with the least amount of fabric covering their bodies.

Brazilian bikinis-both the bikini tops and bottoms-reveal more skin than any of the previous bikini styles. In fact, the Brazilian bikini bottoms are so revealing that it’s mandatory that a woman have her pubic hairs removed before she can go out in public wearing such a bathing suit. To remove the hair that is so visible requires using a warm wax, rather than just shaving that particular area of a woman’s body. Thus, with the influence of the Brazilian bikini, its popularity launched the term Brazilian wax-a procedure for hair removal required before a woman could wear the bikini.

The bottoms of Brazilian bikinis have slim strips of fabric that drape over the pelvic bone in front, and the fabric in back reveals almost every inch of a woman’s body. The bikini bottoms are known as Tanga, Asa Delta, and Fio Dental. Tanga covers a minimal part of the flesh on the backside, while Asa Delta looks similar to a thong, but has strips of fabric that line each side of the back. Finally, the Fio Dental resembles the size of dental floss as it slithers in between the buttocks of the wearer.

The tops of Brazilian bikinis are equally as flesh revealing as the bottoms. Although bikinis are known to be worn for swimming, the Brazilian bikinis are most appropriately known for sunbathing use. Women can choose one of three styles for these types of bikini tops-triangle, halter, and bandeau. The triangle covers the bust area with two teeny-tiny cups that suggest that they might cover a small portion of the breasts. A halter top is made with somewhat more fabric and is cinched around the neck to keep the bosom from falling out of the suit. The bandeau is like an elastic tube that slips over the head and nestles around the chest area, with no ties at the neck or back.

Most certainly, whichever style of Brazilian bikini you choose to wear, it reveals more flesh than any other type of bikini on the market. Add to that the option of choosing a sheer or see-thru fabric; little is left to the imagination when viewing a woman wearing this type of bikini. Therefore, before you venture outside to your favorite resort or beach, make sure you’re prepared to bring along another bikini, in case your Brazilian micro bikini is off-limits.

To wear a Brazilian micro bikini requires that a woman have an extreme measure of self-confidence, combined with a sense for adventure.

The Virgin Islands?02.20.10

Cuba in the Caribbean

By Martin Luis

The Caribbean islands are not large but they have paradisaical surroundings with beaches and vegetation typical of the tropic, some of them with volcanoes. In Cuba, beaches and vegetation are richer and larger than in the rest of the small islands. They are different from each other, that is why they are divided into different groups: the Bahamas Islands, and the Greater and the Lesser Antilles. The first ones are mostly small, coralline, completely plain, without mountains or watercourses where the beaches and other sea features are the main attraction; the other two groups of Antillean Islands have, as their main attraction, its nature as well as the bird and marine biological variety, a fact that differentiates them from The Bahamas.

Even between these two groups of Antilles there are notorious differences. One of them is the presence of archipelagos. From the Greater Antilles, (Cuba, Jamaica, La Espanola and Puerto Rico), Cuba is the only one that has an archipelago so numerous. The same happens in the Lesser Antilles, among which Islas Virgenes (The Virgin Islands), the American as well as the British, are the most similar to Cuba in this aspect. The rest of the small islands have a few tiny islands around them, including Cayman Islands.

The Cuban archipelagos have remained almost intact since its discovery by the Spanish; this is due to the fact that they were never attractive for settlement except for the Island of Youth (formerly Island of Pine trees) and the Turiguano Island, where there was only a small village. In some other keys were only groups of fishermen who did not settled in, just stayed occasionally. While the Caribbean Islands looked forward developing tourism, the Cuban archipelagos stayed almost unaltered.

There were interesting natural elements in these islands (known as keys in Cuba), some of them very attractive, such as the wild horse flock in Cayo Romano (the third largest Cuban island), but the economic conditions at that time were not favorable for the development of tourism.

It was not until the decade of the 70′ and the 80′ of last century that these places were thought of as a tourist attraction because some of them had excellent beaches, were close to the Main Island (Cuba) and did not have dangerous animals that could harm visitors.

Studies were carried out about the possibility of exploiting these territories without affecting the environment or barely affecting it. Nowadays, man has influenced the area in several ways with different effects, the most important for the environment being fishing, tourism and the proclamation of protected areas.

Fishing is practiced with the widely accepted techniques in part of the area and supervised by competent authorities, without affecting the sea biological variety and closely watching the closed seasons. Harbors do not affect the preservation of the environment, they have been in the area for many years and their influence is checked by institutions of the Ministry of Sience, Technology and the Environment (CITMA), which also regulate everything regarding the protection of the environment all over the country in every production and service center.

During the last years the tourism industry has developed the exploitation of these small islands, mainly in three of the four Cuban archipelagos. This is the activity that has a major and varied influence on these islands. Hotels, marinas, airports and scuba diving centers have being built and tours to the reefs on small boats have been organized, all of which requires a motorized transportation infrastructure. Not only the four airports, two on the Northern coast (The King’s Gardens Archipelago) and two on the Southern coast (Canarreos archipelago) are consistent with this effort, but also the “pedraplenes” (roads built to connect the main island with the small islands and the keys) of which we will be talking now.

Due to the fact that these islands are separated from the main island (Cuba) by not very deep waters and affected by sea streams, and taking into account such local factors as sediment flow and the sea fauna migrations, some roads similar to those existing in other countries with experience on this matter were built to facilitate communication between the small islands and the rest of Cuba; for instance, the road connecting the Florida keys.

Five of these roads, known in Cuba as “pedraplenes”, have been built, all of them in the Northern coast: one in Los Colorados Archipelago (Jutia Key) and the rest (four) at Sabana-Camaguey or the King’s Gardens Archipelago. We will describe each of them in further articles about the archipelagos.

The fact that these archipelagos are so isolated from the economic, political and social life from the rest of the country has enabled their natural elements to remain almost intact until now. That is why it is so necessary to preserve the most valuable ecosystems for the next generations, where we find representative specimens, taking steps in every archipelago to handle each situation correctly, with the main objective of maintaining their eco-systems as naturally as possible, with strict control of visits, and encouraging on visitors and neighbor communities the love and care for nature.

These measures make possible to regulate the number of visitors. In these areas you won’t find tourist facilities or the comfort you find in specialized centers or hotels. Therefore, the entities in charge of safeguarding the protected areas, the National Center of Protected Areas (CNAP) and the National System of Protected Areas (SNAP) forming part of CITMA, are the promoters and guardians of these areas in Cuba.

At the archipelagos and Cuban coasts there are National Parks, Ecological Reserves, Flora Shelters, Fauna Shelters and Protected Natural Landscapes, categories included in the Cuban Constitution as well as others proposed by international organizations such as the Biosphera Reserve and the Ramsar Places, among others.

In next articles we will make a tour along the Cuban coasts, starting at the San Antonio Cape.

Panama City Bikini Beach Butter02.20.10

If you aren’t into the party scene and want to enjoy a beach vacation during the spring break season then PCB probably is not the place for you.College spring break is the perfect time to celebrate and forget the rigour of school and exams. Usually students sit daydreaming in their classes planning for their spring break. Spring breaks and beaches go hand in hand. Beaches are an obvious choice for students looking to enjoy their college spring break to the fullest. When one thinks of beaches, sun, sand, water, and obviously women in sexy swimsuits come to mind.
Myths About Panama City Beach

10. It’s a party town- The majority of the year, PCB is a pretty calm and laid back place to vacation. If you aren’t into the party scene and want to enjoy a beach vacation during the spring break season then PCB probably is not the place for you. Luckily, spring break season only falls during the month of March, leaving you nearly 11 months of the year to enjoy everything that PCB has to offer. If the girls gone wild scene is what you are looking for, you should hit up the beach in March.

9. It is expensive- I’m not exactly sure where this rumor has come about, but PCB is actually cheaper than other comparable destinations in some aspects. For example, the recent influx of vacation rentals has driven the price of lodging in the area down significantly. Not to mention, beach access is free most places that you go. Trust me, you won’t find a cheaper beach vacation.

8.There isn’t anything to do- Once again; I’m not sure about this one. Every time I have gone to PCB there has been so much to do that I didn’t have the opportunity to get it all done. No matter who is vacationing with you, there is something for everyone. There are golf courses, fishing, tours, beach activities, shopping, dining, water parks, go-carts, parasailing, bungee jumping, and so much more.

7. There isn’t any good food to eat- This myth is my personal favorite. There is a variety of every type of food that you could possibly want to eat in PCB. There is an excess of pancake places for breakfast, tons of fast food, plenty of local seafood, several locally owned Greek restaurants, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, and all the chains you could possible want. You will not go hungry in PCB. Fare warning for those of you from Texas or Mexico: Pass on the Mexican food because you will be severely disappointed, others may like it.

6. The island is a dump- This may have been a concern in the early 2000′s, but this kind of rhetoric is no longer applicable. PCB is a new and vibrant city thanks to the many recent construction projects. The main street is lined with luxurious condominiums and entertainment districts. The beaches are as beautiful as always and the island is better kept than ever before.

5. The beach is dangerous- The Panama City Beach Police Department has a specific until designated to the beach to ensure the safety of all citizens. The Beach and Surf Information Unit keeps a close watch on the water and places beach warning flags in areas where people swim. As long as you heed the warnings of the flags you should be safe.

4. The beaches are crowded- There are certain times of the year when the beaches are more crowded than others. Luckily, PCB has 27 miles of beaches. There is plenty of beach access and room for all. But, if you are looking for something more low key, St. Andrew’s State Park is the place to go. This state park has over a mile and half of beach area and other various recreational activities as well.

3.There is not enough lodging- This is not a myth, but a flat out lie. PCB has everything you could possibly want. There are campgrounds, RV parks, motels, hotels, condominiums, and cabins. You name it and Panama City Beach has it! But, my suggestion is to stay in a condo on the beach if you want to get the most out of your vacation.

2. You will be eaten by a shark- Billions of people flock to beaches each year and it is very rare to hear about shark attacks. Sharks do live in the water, and no matter what beach vacation you take you will hear tales about sharks. Stop worrying and enjoy the water, you have a better chance of being struck by lightening.

1.Your vacation will be ruined by hurricanes- I wouldn’t worry too much about this one. Unlike other natural disasters, there is plenty of warning before a hurricane approaches. Go ahead and book your vacation in advance and be sure to purchase insurance. If by chance a hurricane does roll through, you will be covered. Quit being fooled by rumors and plan the vacation of your dreams.

2010 Beach Girl Resolutions – Toned, Tanned and Tousled by Summer02.17.10

2010 Beach Girl Resolutions – Toned, Tanned and Tousled by Summer

By Kiki Farmer

It is the end of the first week of the new year 2010 and already those purposefully inked-down resolutions are being edited, or worst case, deleted from our diary.

‘Get body bikini-ready by summer.’

We tried so hard on day one. Met the new trainer, the swanky Euro Stephan who was definitely not impressed by our regime. Threw out the candy canes, gave away all the pies. Yessirree–no sweets in our fridge!

Day two, we scurried, head down, right by Starbies without even being tempted to use one of our stocking-stuffer gift cards.

Day three, encouraged by Stephan, we made ourselves drink all yucky 32 ounces of that fancy French soapy tasting mineral water that supposedly sheds fat in his country. (Ha!)

By day four, we were so sore from the new trainer’s advice to do more crunches that we have to admit we aimlessly went to the post-holiday Sales, instead of the gym. But we felt bad, so we rode our bike to the shops instead of driving. Day 4 was a bad day–we bought new boots, and a pair of jeans–that fit us NOW.

The fifth day we lifted ourselves out of the post-purchase depression, headed for the gym after a freshly squeezed lemon juice, shaved ginger and fresh mint tea, wearing the new boots and jeans, but got a latte on the way home after the gruelling crunches overseen by the now testy Stephan.

On day 6 we just went straight for the caffeine, skipped the gym.

Yesterday, day 7, the jeans seemed tight, so we grovelled to the trainer to ‘up’ our program– we ended up panting like show ponies on the eliptical.

As we close out our first week today we review our best intentions and well-meaning plans– we’ve already had that extra latte today and its not even lunch!

Looking for guidance we came across these sageful tidbits from those gorgeous creatures known as Victoria’s Secret Angels–uber models who grace their catwalks and the covers of their catalogues of under and swim wear. Not a dimple, not a ripple on them, we mused that maybe they held the ‘real’ secret (and we don’t mean Victoria’s, whoever she is!) to beautiful toned and tanned beach-ready bodies for Summer 2010.

English rose Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shed some of her own secrets to looking fabulous with less than her jeans on in an interview in London recently.

“I do believe in chicken fillets,” she says. “I’m not saying you have to use them, but if anyone knows me and sees me in a photoshoot, well, there are friends in there. I’m not a fan of that whole push-up look in the day. But, of course, you do need a lift with a sexy dress, so do what you’ve got to do, girls – shove them in there. I’ve been known to have three in at a time for shoots – plus padding.”

(We feel better already.)

Going further, Rosie admitted:

“I don’t wear bras that often. If I do, I don’t like push-up bras – though they’re fun for the bedroom, I think”.

(Of course.)

More Rosie:

“As a model, you learn how to use your body and how to make people believe something. So I know how to do sexy: there’s the arched back, bum out, hands on the hips pose. That’s sexy in one way, though there are a lot of different ways to be sexy.”

(Now we are grasping Stephan’s insistence on those funky cat exercises he makes us do.)

Rosie added some beauty tips too:

“I won’t do a lingerie shoot unless I’m tanned,” Rosie says. “I think most women will admit that they look better when they’re brown. I fake tan – but I don’t recommend sunbeds – and at work, they’ll put body make-up on.”

(Body make-up? We can barely get the tinted moisturizing SPF slapped on every day.)

But the most surprising tip of all was Rosie’s way to boost self-confidence:

“A really good tip for confidence is a good haircut. For me, my hair is important before everything. Good sexy bedroom hair should be just a little tousled, nothing too neat. Also, drink a big bottle of water every day, as it will take away puffiness – Fiji is best. Everybody rolls their eyes at this tip, but it does work – water is the drug of God, that’s what I say.”

And we had poo-pooed Stephan’s watery advice! Well, at least now we can switch to Fiji AND leave our hair a mess after those work-outs.

We’re sure to be confidently more toned and ready for our unveiling, come summer.

Kikidoll is the eternal beachgirl, and takes her inspiration from the awesome elegance and pristine simplicity of beaches and waves everywhere. She muses on islands, oceans, beaches, shells, flowers, tropical living, travel, design and style, swimming, surfing, her beloved Hawaii nei, the spirit of aloha, iconic symbols and of course the fleeting ‘endless summer’. Most importantly, she frets over what to wear at the beach!

Are Micro Bikinis Becoming Too Small?

Micro bikinis are the tiny bikinis that have pieces of string and three pieces of material. The material covers the three areas of the female body that are required to be covered by law. The three pieces have become so small it’s hard to imagine needing designers. Are these micro teeny bikinis even considered fashion or just a way to keep from being arrested?

Of course, back when the modern bikini was first introduced to the public in 1946 by two French men, Jacques Heim and Louis Reard, the same questions were being asked. There were many people who loved the new swimsuits named bikinis and then there were those who thought they were just too revealing. What would they say about todays’ bikinis which can have pieces of cloth as small as an eye patch?

Recently in Brazils’ Carnival a dancer “wore” a patch of cloth only one and a half inches long! That was all she wore except for gloves, head dress and accessories. This cloth wasn’t even connected with strings but was glued on instead. This was an attempt to be legal and not be nude, but it makes you wonder how far will the micro bikinis go. Not only are they becoming smaller but the material can be ultra thin and even transparent. Perhaps the next step will be to just legalize nudity on some beaches.

It’s an interesting world we live in where in some countries the culture requires a woman to completely cover themselves only allowing their eyes to show and in other parts of the world the culture is going towards less and less clothing, especially when it comes to micro bikinis.

Spring Break Costa Rica – A Well Kept Secret With Spring Breakers Looking For Adventure

By Matt Scriven

Spring break is anticipated by college students all winter. It indicates the end of winter and the opportunity to put the books down and not study for a while. Students look forward to a change of scenery and day dream about places like Cancun and some of the beaches in Florida or the Carolinas. An adventure spring break in Costa Rica provides all the benefits of the other travel destinations without the crowds that are part of these other places.

While an Costa Rica Spring Break may sound a bit extravagant, the truth is this trip can actually be surprisingly affordable. There are many things that await the college kid in search of a break. This tropical paradise sits in the Caribbean on the Pacific Ocean.

This is still a relatively well kept secret and consequently there is not the huge crowd that will be populating the beaches elsewhere. The secret is that this place has many cheap hotels that are priced right for a college student’s budget. The hotels may be cheap, but this does not mean that the beaches are not as nice as others. In fact the beach scene here is fabulous.

An Adventure spring break in Costa Rica would not be worthy of any college student if there was not an excellent nightlife complete with an assortment of clubs. Since this pace is still a bit of a secret the clubs are not any more crowded then the beaches. Actually the feeling here is intimate and yet at this time of the year there is certainly no shortage of attractive people of the opposite sex.

This place is just popular enough with the college kids to provide some great opportunities to meet students from other schools all over the country, without being so busy that you feel like a can of sardines. It is the scene here that has attracted the college crowd but the idea that this place is expensive that has kept it from being overrun with spring breakers.

Costa Rica sits between Panama and Nicaragua in Central America. The terrain varies from gorgeous beaches to lush rainforests. The weather is ideal for enjoying the beaches or an adventure vacation. An adventure spring break in Costa Rica can be comprised of a variety of activates to keep your mind off your studies and on the luscious bodies of the other spring breakers.

One of the popular adventures here is to explore the rainforest. This area makes for some dramatic hiking. This hiking can often include encountering a wild animal of the rain forest. There is also opportunity to hike up the side of a volcano. However if all this seems like a little more than you had in mind then you can always explore the beaches and all the watercraft and other activities that await you there.

Another way to partake of an adventure spring break in Costa Rica is to explore a river in a kayak. Whichever way you decide to spend your time here, you will go away glad that it is still a well kept secret. Your impulse will be to tell everyone about it, but then it wouldn’t be a secret.

Since 1994 ParadiseParties.com has been providing fun and safe Spring Break vacation packages for college and high school students and is a great resource for Spring Break 2010. An Adventure Spring Break is exactly what you need to get away from it all for a couple of days or a week.

Santa Monica and Venice Beaches

By Moses Kettle

A stroll in Santa Monica will be a highlight of your trip in California. The neighborhood is truly charming, the atmosphere is excellent, the scenery is beautiful and the former homes of the stars are fascinating. There are two walks not to miss – the 3rd Street Promenade and Santa Monica Pier.

The 3rd Street Promenade is a very romantic and very popular pedestrian street. This is the heart of the city of Santa Monica. The evenings and the weekends are particularly lively with many musicians and street performers. The 3rd Street Promenade is lined by restaurants and shops, often very nice, which stay open late. There are also many bars, cafes and cinemas nearby.

In the ocean, the Santa Monica Pier is a long wooden jetty which was completed in 1921. It is the oldest marina in the American West. Today, the Santa Monica Pier is packed with restaurants, shops and a fun fair which will delight children. The carousel is well known in film, and it dates from 1922. The walk along the beach should absolutely go through here, if only for the atmosphere. The street performers animate the dock music. With a little luck, you can even see authentic Californian surfers listening to the music of the Beach Boys!

Santa Monica is located west of the city, north of the airport. To get there you can take the Santa Monica Freeway. The bike path along the beach is several kilometers long and can take you to Venice Beach.

Venice Beach is together with Malibu Beach, the most famous film with its long track for bikes and rollerblades. Yes, Venice is one of the few neighborhoods in Los Angeles that is closed to motor vehicles. It is therefore the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the incredible atmosphere of the place.

Initially, Venice was a small resort. After a trip to Venice in the early twentieth century, the wealthy property owner decided to make this neighborhood the Venice California. He then undertook the construction of canals and buildings recalling the architecture of the city of Doges. Poorly designed, the canals were filled 20 years later, but the district retained the name of Venice.

The Venice neighborhood is particularly known for being the Mecca of the hippie movement in Los Angeles. Jim Morrison particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this neighborhood and this is where the legendary group the Doors was formed. Today, traces of that era are still treated in Venice. Indeed, the days attract many street artists, old hippies and fringe that animate the neighborhood.

Nevertheless, Venice is not nearly as cool as in the 1960s. It is strongly recommended not to visit the area after nightfall. At this time, the area belongs to the gang. Attacks are many, but rest assured, there is nothing to fear during the day. However, the area is much protected, as tourism requires.

Today, Venice is a permanent show where street performers entertain passersby in a very friendly atmosphere. We find musicians, speakers, dancers, jugglers, and other fire-eaters. The attractions of Venice also pass through the small stands of exotic products and the huge murals that adorn the area. Do not forget the beautiful women passing by and the roller body men who show off their muscles in the gym outdoor… The whole is a multifaceted entertainment and contrasting assembly, so representative of America.

Los Angeles vacations are fun for the whole family. When looking at vacation packages and travel deals to Los Angeles make sure to bundle and save your vacations. Buying the car, flight, hotel, and activities all at once will increase the savings on your trip.

Looking for another destination? I would suggest also looking at Las Vegas vacations for some fun in party city.
