If they can’t provide this information to you, look elsewhere. Miami Limousine Rentals: Ride Around In Luxury And Comfort

The city of Miami best exemplifies the sunny and vibrant nature of life in the state of Florida. This world-famous and bustling metropolis is a mecca for arts and culture, business and transportation not only in the eastern part of the US, but also for the whole Latin American region as well.

Whether your here for work-related matters, vacation, preparing for you wedding or just visiting friends or family, be sure to go around the city in the height of luxury and comfort. The city offers a varied selection of private limousine rental operators, and their services widely vary, and they serve occasions such as corporate transport, bachelor parties, city tours, proms, clubbing and partying, weddings, funerals and other special occasions.

How To Contact Established Rental Firms

In getting the most appropriate rental service for you, start by searching for the right one at the city’s local yellow pages, and check on these services by calling them through their contact numbers. However, one of the best sources for finding local limo rentals is through the Internet.

The Internet has a vast listing of vehicle rental services, with each advertising their own rates, services offered, as well as the terms of service. Customers are advised to first research on the many firms offering their services, and try to compare each of the rates and perks they offer. Many customers prefer to search for local limo rentals online, because they find it more convenient to find one and easily can make comparisons.

Whenever you already have the list of sites that offer vehicle rental services, call each of them, and quiz them on important aspects such standard hourly rates, cancellation and return options, as well as inquiring about vehicle and passenger insurance coverage.

Ask For References

The next best thing to do is to ask from references from your associates or friends in Miami. A good way of limiting your list of choices for local limo rental services, is by asking your family and friends if they know of a particular rental company that they have dealt before, and did they feel good about the service rendered.

However, if they can’t give you any leads, it would be best to ask a particular limo rental for a list of referrals, then call each of them. By doing this, you’ll be able to get all the important details that are needed in effectively selecting the best local limousine service.

Ask The Rental Firm About Their Policies

The next step is to ask prospective rental firms about a back-up plans. As you don’t want to end up worrying if something should go wrong on your special day, quiz the rental service about their back-up plans, or emergency set-ups in case some of their vehicles conk out, or get inoperable. Since it will be very stressful for you to do some last minute arrangements with a newer limo service because the previous one didn’t show up, it would be nice to hear what the prospective rental operator has in mind about these situations.

Riding around the city in a rented vehicle is surely one way of beating the traffic, as well as evading the stress of daily commuting. If you are interested in renting one of these luxury vehicle services, then you must already realize that riding public transport just doesn’t work out well most of the time, given the hassles associated with getting crammed into packed buses, or in handling the egos of disrespectful or arrogant cab drivers.

While tour buses and taxis are marginally better, there is still nothing particularly luxurious about them. Getting a limo to drive you around adds up to a more enjoyable, and stress-free visit to the city of Miami.

United States Airline Carry-On Regulations

Since the attacks of 9/11, airline travel has become an increasingly more confusing way to get to your destination. Because of the simplicity of the materials with which the attacks were carried out, and because of the fact that there is a lot of knowledge out there detailing how to create a devastating device from every day materials, the items you may carry onto an airplane have become increasingly restricted. It used to be that only size really mattered (as long as you were not carrying an obviously threatening piece of luggage of course) but today, you have to consider the space your carry-on will take up, the weight of the bag, and even the items that you are taking along. Let’s take a look at some of these regulations in the hopes of making your trip go just a little bit smoother.

Size Restrictions

The first thing you need to be concerned about are the dimensions of your carry on luggage. These measurements are largely in place not due to threats, but in consideration of the amount of room on the plane and the comfort of other passengers. Therefore:

Only one bag is allowed per person. You are also allowed to have one personal item with you.

When the length, width, and height of the carry-on bag are totalled up in inches, the total amount cannot exceed 45 inches.

The bag must fit in the overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of you.

It must fit without any effort, through the device used by the airline to check the size of carry on baggage.

It’s important to note that personal items include laptop computers, purses, briefcases, and similar items. Books or magazines do not count, although you are only allowed one outside of your carry on luggage.

Restrictions on Materials

Of the greatest inconvenience to most passengers in the past five years are the limits placed on materials which you may carry on to a plane. In many cases these limits put severe restrictions on many different personal hygiene products, which can be particularly onerous if you are on a very long flight. However, these regulations are in place for the safety of all passengers. Here are some of the items that are included:

Drinks
Creams
Hair gel and spray
Shampoo
Lotions
Toothpaste

It is important to note that it is not the items themselves that are banned, but rather the containers or tubes that they are carried in. It is permissible to carry these items in a plastic bag where possible.

It is also important to note that no items that may threaten personal safety are allowed as carry ons, including knives, dry ice, and so on. You should also make sure to check specific regulations for the airline and the country that you are traveling with or to, as their regulations may differ slightly.

Ever dreamed of going on a Caribbean Cruise but don’t know what to expect when you get there? Well, to start off, you have to know what the Caribbean is. It’s a region of the Americas that’s located in between North America and South America.

When you think about the word Caribbean, you’re probably thinking about beaches. But there’s more to the Caribbean than just beaches. There are a number of things that you can do. You can go beachcombing, have a picnic and sail in San Juan, Puerto Rico, or go on powerboat adventures in Nassau, Bahamas. You will never run out of options as to what to do next. You have the entire place, the sun and the sea.

The top destinations in the Caribbean are Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Aruba, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Cayman Islands, and the US Virgin Islands.

Now what can you do at those top spots? In Montego Bay, Jamaica, you can go on a Catamaran Cruise for approximately 3 hours for as low as US$60 with Viator. You can also go see the Luminous Lagoon for 6 hours in Trelawny, Jamaica for US$37 per person. If you want to go sightseeing in the Dominican Republic, you can go and check out the Ocean World Adventure Park in Puerto Plata. Have you ever wondered how the Caribbean waters look underwater? Well, you can stop wondering and go on the Seaquarium Adventure in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

If you’re the type who would rather go shopping than go on adventures, don’t worry, you can still shop in the Caribbean. In St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, driver-guides will show you Magens Bay, St. John and the chain of British Virgin Islands from Mt. Top, the highest point on St. Thomas. After touring the mountains, you will be taken to downtown Charlotte Amalie, where you can be by yourself for lunch or browse the duty-free shops of the Old Danish town.

There is so much more to do in the Caribbean, go on cruises, stay in the best hotels, go sightseeing, go on spa vacations, night clubbing and more. If you just got married, why not have your honeymoon in the Caribbean? Or if you’ve been married for quite a while now, why not have a second honeymoon?

Thinking of Rio, the first image that comes to mind is of the sandy beaches, the sun and the ‘Girl from Ipanema’. Beach culture is prevalent in all of Brazil, and nowhere is it bigger or more impressive than in Rio de Janeiro. The beach culture in Brazil is a scene for fashion and trend setting. It’s not just about enjoying the sun, but also a social occasion. It is a chance to meet, socialize and for participating in sports like volley ball, soccer and surfing. Even during the winter and in poor weather, the Cariocas, as the locals are known, frequent the promenade.

Wedged on a strip of land at the foothills of Rio is one of the world’s greatest beaches, Copacabana. This highly populated region reverberates with a non-stop party atmosphere. Beach partying is a ritual here for the young and old alike. With an array of bars and nightclubs, there is always something happening on the beach, day or night. All along the 5 km beach, clusters of people sleep and sunbathe under umbrellas and in the white sand.

Lifeguard stations, called ‘postas’ are numbered and stretch along the length of the beach. The Copacabana beach stretches from Princesa Isabel Avenue to the lifeguard watchtower six, Posto Seis, near the Forte de Copacaban.

South of the city of Rio de Janeiro, lying adjacent to the Copacabana beach is the district of Ipanema. The beach at Ipanema is lined with world class restaurants cafes and shopping malls. Ipanema is one of the most expensive places in Rio and the symbol of Brazilian pleasure and wealth. It is frequented by affluent Brazillian youth as well as tourists.

Two hills known as the ‘Two Brothers’ are situated at the western end of the beach. The beach is also marked into segments with points known as postos. Ipanema beach has several favorite hotspots with each block attracting a different type of crowd. There are always people playing football, volleyball, and footvolley, a combination sport unique to Brazil. The beach at Ipanema was immortalized in the song, “Girl from Ipanema” by Carlos Jobim.

Many of the early Miami buildings from the early 1900′s have been restored. A walking tour around the South Beach precinct is recommended to see the spectacular rejuvenation of the 1920′s buildings in the Art Deco Historic District.

The Metro-Dade Transit Agency runs two Miami rail systems, one being Metrorail which is a modern elevated commuter train that connects downtown Miami and the southern suburbs. Metromover is an elevated line looping the downtown precinct and connecting with many of the important attractions, shopping and business districts.

Tri Rail is the south Florida commuter train service that connects Miami with North Palm Beach and all centers in between.

Tea Gardens – A Magical Journey, Part 5

I came back to the office with the Bara sahib. It was pretty late in the evening now, what I did not know was the evening was just beginning. The Bara sahib asked about my family and I told him I was the youngest of three children and I was not married.

A small man entered the office, he was in native garb. He handed some charts to the Bara Sahib and left. Later I found out he was the 2nd clerk. The Bara sahib beamed with confidence when he saw the charts, it was supposedly the best days in a long time and he was happy. It was good for me because that meant the Bara Sahib would be in a good mood. He was jovial all evening.
We went for a tour of the factory again, but this time I observed a master doing his work. He knew what he was doing and with an air of confidence he went through the whole factory. Correcting some things and congratulating some people when things were right. Everyone was trying their best. Finally he tells me to come with him for a drink as he needed one. He had to celebrate the garden doing so well and laughingly he put it that I brought luck to the garden. Obviously that was said to please me as it was not true at all. I had nothing to do with it but benefit. I could join in the celebration and it was an honor.

At the bungalow I saw that we were not alone. There was a burly looking fellow who looked he had just come out of the army and an equally large fellow with an air of confidence about him. These I found out as I was introduced were the garden Asst. Managers. Tapan and Alok. There were a lot of drinks. The Bara Mem Sahib was directing the whole thing and everything was running like clockwork. I was handed a glass which I was told was cognac. It was my first drink and at first it did not taste so good, but as time progressed I kind of liked it. I did not want anyone to know it was my first drink but I had not finished the first, the others had downed about 4. The Bara Sahib came over to me, putting his arm around my shoulder and said in a booming voice “What is the matter boy, is the drink not to your satisfaction”. I sheepishly told him that it was fine; I was busy taking in the whole situation. Then calmly in my ear he said “Don’t worry I had the same experience with my first drink” and smiled at me. I knew then he was a very observant man. Later I would find out that it was easy to tell that, even though in my eyes at that time supposedly I was hiding it well.

The evening turned into night and I still had my first drink. Everyone seemed happy and the drink was getting to me. I did not want to appear drunk the first night I was meeting everyone. I noticed that no one was forcing me to have another drink. The beautiful surroundings about me were turning foggy. It must have been the effect of the drink as it was a clear warm night. I decided I could not have any more so I set my drink down and took some of the snacks. I was wondering when dinner would be served. As if the Bara Mem sahib heard my thoughts she asked the bearer to put the dinner on the table. Then she looked knowingly in my direction and with a smile said “you must not have eaten much today, dinner will be served shortly”.

Fishing is a great way to enjoy the sea with the family. Punta Cana is one of the most attractive fishing destinations in the Caribbean because the fishes mainly reside by the shore. This is not only fun, but it is also a great activity for everyone.

Visitors can be picked up straight from their hotel and receive a 30 minute ride, depending on where you reside, to the fishing village El Cortecito where the boat is anchored. There you can begin a wonderful day of shallow and deep sea bottom fishing. The charters typically travel 2 to 10 miles from shore.

You will have a good time catching fish like the Snapper, Groupers, Yellow Tail Snapper, and many other species. Don’t worry your catch won’t go to waste because upon arrival to the dock your fish is cooked. Considering the beautiful sea, Punta Cana fishing is a satisfying way to have an adventure off shore.

There is also sport fishing, which entails different forms of styles and techniques. The captains are very knowledgeable and can help you experience fishing. Sport fishing in Punta Cana is also called catch and release fishing to keep the big game going. If every fish where kept the food chain the sea would cause the fish population to decrease.

A Punta Cana fishing trip also lasts because the operating hours are typically favorable. Visitors can go on fishing trips for a full 8 hours or a 4 hour trip. You also have the option to have a private charter or you can split it amongst other visitors.

Fly fishing is also a great way to put your skills to the test. Saltwater fly fishing has been on the rise because it is a thrill that brings big catchers back for more. Fishing is not the only activity at sea. The charters also have other entertainment like full day excursions, island cruises, speed boat tours, sunset trips; four wheel ATV tours, and much more.

Punta Cana Fishing Tip:

Bring all the fishing gear with your. The charters provide tackle rods and reels but they do not provide all other equipment so make sure to have that with you. Have fun on your fishing trip!
